Knowing that someone is grateful for what we have done for them makes our holiday better. I am glad to hear that they want to help someone. It means that we have influenced them. It's amazing to hear that someone gave this christmas when they could have taken. Everyone is so interested in getting an ipod or xbox or psp or ps3 or someother technological device that is at the top of their christmas lists. Even though it's not thanksgiving, the time of giving, christmas can be the same...people should want to give to others what they don't want or need. The urge to take is just a sign of selfishness. Yes, I was like that, but I see that that's all people are like, and when it comes to those who are in need, they don't care. I've changed my way of thinking and wanted to be one who helped. I always love getting up Christmas morning and seeing the faces of my brother and sisters as they open their presents, their faces just light up with a smile. I also love being able to give things to my friends even if it is just some cookies and a card because its the thought that counts. The father was tryin to jump start it (if you dont know what that means.....look it up) so me and dave got in the back and pushed it because it takes alot more speed to jump start a car than the boy was giving. The car started and right away i had a smile on my face and drove away feeling better about myself. So its not about recieving, its about giving.
